Happy Independnce Day to all of the nation from VOPN.
Pakistan achieved independence on this day from the British Empire, after 90 years of British colonial rule. While the conversion was officially at midnight on that day, Pakistan observes its independence on August 14 in contrast with India on the 15th. Muhammad Ali Jinnah becomes the first Governor General of Pakistan.
