LAHORE: Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz has said that the internally displaced persons (IDPs) are welcome in Punjab. Talking to federal minister for Railways Ghulam Ahmed here on Friday, Nawaz Sharif said the IDPs, sleeting from Swat valley and Malakand Division have presented an excellent sacrifice by being parted with the comfortable livings for the sake of protecting the upcoming prospect of the whole nation of Pakistan. “The terror hits and blasting like coward actions could not wreck country away from democracy”, he affirmed.
I say that
Nawaz Sharif is a big name in politics and he is the next big leader of Pakistan right after Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, his statement however comes very late because the operation against activist in the northwest (Swat, Malakand, Dir, Buner) is almost one month old and the IDPs are facing crisis since the very first day of this operation, anyway, but IDPs will never come out of crisis if no practical step would be taken, only a special consideration and a comprehensive plan could minimize IDPs’ problems so do something right now rather then passing statements.

Aid Goods Reached from US
ISLAMABAD: Aid goods for the displaced persons arrived from the United States on Tuesday. The consignment of 50 air conditioning units, 25 power generators, and associated electrical distribution hardware will be sent to camps lodging IDPs.

US Aid has arrived at a good time when necessity of these equipments is essential; this aid will provide IDPs a good relief. Additionally the US also supplied 500 shovels and 5000 sandbags to fix the tents. This supplies esteemed at about $334,000 were purchased locally using US government relief funds.

Only 0.2 Million of the 2.38 Million People Are Living In Camps
Ron Redmond, spokesman for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees is reported that Only 200,000 of the 2,380,000 people expected to have escaped the Swat violence are living in camps, "the vast majority of people are staying with friends, relatives, taking care of themselves, even renting accommodation," he told a news conference.
Redmond said, however, that many of those now sheltering in others' homes could be forced to move to the packed camps if the fighting between government and Taliban forces continued.
"These host families cannot afford to keep them indefinitely. That is a concern," he said.
I say that
Who want to leave his own home but some time condition changes the men mind and he has to leave his beloved home where he spent his good time from childhood to become an old man, from a poor to become a successful man the people of Pakistan's northwest area where the armed forces are throbbing rebellious Taliban face ‘humanitarian devastation’ except help reaches them shortly.

The US Military is Preparing to Fly in Humanitarian Aid to Pakistans' IDPs
The US military is preparing to fly in humanitarian aid to Pakistan to help the almost 1.5 million Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) forced to flee fighting in the Swat, Malakand and other fidgety areas, the Pentagon said on Monday.
The Defense Department was drawing up foundation plans to ferry food, water and tents to help those displaced by the Pakistani army's offensive against Taliban militants, spokesman Bryan Whitman said. "The Pakistanis could use some basic humanitarian assistance that the United States is prepared to provide," Whitman told reporters. A request was pending from Islamabad for humanitarian aid and final details were being worked out through the State Department, he said.
The aid would include packaged Halal meals, water trucks and tents. "We are looking at providing assistance in those three categories, and potentially in other areas," he said. "We want to be there to help them," Whitman added. "We want to demonstrate that we are good partners." About 1.45 million people have been displaced as Pakistan's operations against Taliban militants entered a fourth week on Monday, with infantry troops waging street battles in towns of the Swat district.
Islamabad ordered the offensive under mounting US pressure, after the insurgents took up positions just 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the Pakistani capital, having broken out of their hub in Swat.

It is quite late but at least US Army comes towards the right step and there will be no delay made in shipping of these aid goods as the condition over Swat, Malakand, Buner, Dir & other adjacent areas is already not fine and if a quick action is not made in these areas then chances of casualties from hunger will be increased.
