Security sources said that Ehsan alias Abu Jandal was killed in Qambar. Security forces had been facing tough resistance from the Taliban for some days in the area. Abu Jandal was buried on the outskirts of Mingora. Army spokesman Maj-Gen Athar Abbas told AFP on Sunday Abu Jandal had been killed two days earlier in Qambar area. He was a mid-level commander. Security sources in the area confirmed the death.
This is a critical moment if security forces will not capture the whole area quickly then solid chances of activists’ escaped would be possible, security officials will ensure a tight & strict search operation following with the help of resident tribal persons who can recognized the non residents or in other words identify the activists.
