Image from mwcnews.net

These minor fights has no values it will take time some to overcome upon the whole condition. Moreover, military is also arranging a parallel campaign in the South Waziristan tribal region aiming the Pakistani Taliban chief, Baitullah Mehsud.

We have to defeat the militancy as because violence across northwest Pakistan and the spread of Taliban influence have sensitive worries about insecurity in the nuclear-armed Pakistan, a key supporter in the West's mission to stabilize Afghanistan and destroy al Qaeda. The US supports the actions, saying Islamabad must eradicate militants’ safe shelters for its own solidity’s sake as well as to minimize the hazard those fighters pretense to the U.S. led war in adjoining Afghanistan.

Taliban Defeated

Yesterday, on the main road that leads to Swat I saw many people and vehicles preparing to leave. People were saying good bye and were thanking their Mardan hosts for their hospitality.

I've got a friend who works for the police, he is now in Mingora. I bumped into him by chance a few days ago. He had come here to Mardan seven days ago to see his family and went back to Mingora two days later. We talked at length.

He said that the security situation had improved. The army there said that the only way they can defeat the militants is with the support of the ordinary people. So there's a lot less fear and people feel much more confident.

As the man said that the only way they can defeat the militants is with the support of the ordinary people or alternatively we can said that residents of that area because as I already mentioned in my previous posts that the native persons well known each other and they can support army to fight or identify them (activists) well. Secondly lashkars organized and run by local tribal persons are also looking after the infected areas so there's a lot less fear and people feel much more confident to go back to there homes.

Lashker Gains Control of Parts in Upper Dir

The national lashker comprising of local people has gained control of many parts of Upper Dir on Monday following their triumphant operation against Taliban, Geo news said.

The lashker was formed in Dogdara area in Dir which has successfully carried out many operations against Taliban, killing 41 militants, injuring 38 others and got arrested 9 in last 34 days, lashker sources said.

It’s a good sign, Pak army has to provide more support to thsese lashkars as they better know that where the Taliban’s hideouts are located, secondly these tribal laskhars are better aware of Taliban strategies and could fight in a better way and they would give Pak army a strong standing point in the northwest and other tribal regions.

Pak Army Faces 2 Way Fight After End of Peace Deal

A decision by Taliban militants to withdraw from a peace deal in a tribal region close to the Afghan border threatens to open a new front for the Pakistan army as it battles the insurgents in two other areas.

Militants close to the border are behind a spate of bombings that are destabilizing nuclear-armed Pakistan. They are also blamed for attacks on Western troops in Afghanistan, where violence is running at record levels eight years after the U.S.-led invasion.

The disintegration of the truce in North Waziristan was the latest failure of a government pact with local Taliban leaders. The agreements have been criticized abroad because they effectively cede space to the insurgents.

Peace deal actually is part of a strategy by the Taliban and the Government of Pakistan did not understand it at that time and become part of it fately that is why peace deal was not disclosed publicly, because if it was showed to the public there will be vital chances of its resistance by the civil society generally, the commander, Gul Bahadur, who leads the Taliban in North Waziristan, ended his pact with Islamabad and endangered more attacks on the army after an attack on a military convoy in his area Sunday claimed the lives of at least 16 soldiers.

Pakistan's military had required to impound the fight in Waziristan to Baitullah Mehsud, an opponent of Bahadur and an supporter of al Qaida who's led the militant invasions of numerous other areas in northwest Pakistan , but Pak Army finds itself facing both Baitullah Mehsud and Bahadur, as well as a third Taliban leader in the area adjoining Afghanistan . Maulvi Nazir, an supporter of Bahadur, also announced the end of a peace agreement with Pakistan in recent days.

Until at the moment, Nazir and Bahadur had alert on the mutiny in Afghanistan , intimidating the U.S. led alliance there but not Pakistan , and if Pakistan endures in its offensive, the fight in Waziristan, a stand for Afghan activists and for al Qaida , is possible to have consequences in future.

A spokesman for Bahadur, Ahmadullah Ahmadi said "This accord is being scrapped because of Pakistan's failure to stop the American drone attacks in North and South Waziristan , since the army is attacking us in North and South Waziristan , we will also attack them."

The USA and other Western countries have been serious of Pakistan's history of peace deals with selected Taliban activists, and they sight Bahadur and Nazir as a hazard to Afghanistan .

Military Sources Denied The Claim of Sufi Mohammad Arrest

The ISPR (Inter Services Public Relations) declared that three Afghan activists along with the three leading Tanzim Nifaz Shariat-e-Muhammadi (TNSM) members were arrested. Official sources confirmed the arrest of Maulana Alam and Amir Izzat but expressed ignorance about Sufi’s arrest. The sources told that security forces raided Bilal Mosque, which serves as the control center for the banned party and arrested Maulana Muhammad Alam, Amir Izzat Khan, Maulana Said Wahab and Salman. All of the TNSM leaders were moved to Malakand Fort.

A confusion has been created when it was reported by the local private tv channels that the provincial government as saying that Chief of Tanzim Nifaz Shariat-e-Muhammadi Sufi Mohammad has been arrested with his two sons Rizwanullah and Ziaullah and other leaders of the banned organization including its deputy chief Maulana Muhammad Alam and Amir Izzat Khan by security forces on Thursday during a raid on Bilal Mosque. But military sources denied the claim saying that no such arrest had been made. The provincial government, however, was later reported as having denied making any such confirmation.

I say that

The story is not ended yet army have to fight unless the detention of last activist. A top Pakistani commander Major General Ijaz Awan informed that leading Taliban leaders are still at large, maybe across the river from Mingora in the Kabal area. He thought reconstruction of broken towns and re-shifting refugees would be serious trial noting. He further told that a lot of the weapons found with the activists were Russian made, while others had no marking but materialized to be Chinese made. The army confirms that it has killed more than 1,200 insurgents in the month-old offensive in Swat and surrounding districts. The government also has to contend with a rise in militant activity in other parts of the country, including suicide attacks that officials say are revenge for the Swat offensive.

After detention of Molana Mohammad Alam and Amir Izzat by the security forces there was no sign of civilian life in the Swat’s central city, nor Taliban. One corner to the other corner of river stood activist stronghold, jogging the Army memory that its job was not ended.

Armed Forces Entered Kalam, News

Armed forces entered Kalam on Sunday to get control on Taliban who are increasing their power in the area.

Military spokesman Major General Athar Abbas told that “previously there were a few dozen Taliban in the area but they had been joined by militants fleeing Bahrain and Sakhra valley”.
The Nazim of Kalam and neighboring prominents met the forces and guaranteed them of their complete support to the military action.

I say that

The calculation is clear-cut sufficient, if we don’t beat the activists today, they may beat us tomorrow.
