Pak Army Calculatedly Aimed for Taking the Mehsud

Pak Army Calculatedly Aimed for Taking the Baitullah Mehsud As a military assault fumes on against the Taliban in Malakand and Swat, the government on Sunday ordered a “full-fledged” military operation against Taliban head Baitullah Mehsud including his tribes for wharfing terrorists, supporting terrorist activities and slaughtering naive and guiltless people.

I think this was, maybe, the first major sign that the Pak Army calculatedly aimed for taking the chief of Taliban head Baitullah Mehsud, my above mentioned thinking is not because I love my country and army but it is based upon recent statements of army’s senior officials which I definitely want to sahre with the readers of VOPN;

1- Army Chief General Ashfaq Kayani said recently “he (Baithullah Mehsud) has a hand in virtually every terrorist attack in Pakistan."

2- Another senior military officer said, “we wanted to deliver a message to Baitullah. If he carries out a suicide bombing, then there will be a response and that he can’t get away with these attacks. There will be a quid pro quo.’

In no doubt, the government had delivered the message to the Taliban head face-to-face in the course of tribal intermediaries.

Fight positions have been placed in South Waziristan. While numerous new rising aspects may help the armed action, the mother of all combats beside Pakistani activists in South Waziristan, in all possibility, will be hard and full from blood.

Pakistan Targeted Baitullah Mehsud

“The military and law enforcement agencies have been ordered to carry out a full-fledged operation to eliminate these beasts and killers by using all resources,” said by Owais Ahmed Ghani Governar NWFP.

Security alerts have been increased not only in key places but to those areas also where a single chance of suicide bombing could be placed, yesterday I performed prayer in a tough security and enter the mosque after a thorough entire check of my body in Naizmabad Chowrangi Mosque (Masjid e Ameer Hamza where a weekly event of Khatam e Qadria is on the way), moreover security forces had been ordered by the government of northwest frontier province to start a comprehensive operation against Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud in the anarchic northwest tribal areas and it will continue until eradication of militancy but the governar has not yet given any certain date of commencement of the operation.

Pakistan Army Chief In Talks With NATO

“Pakistan’s Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani is in Brussels where he will hold talks with top alliance officials” says NATO, NATO gave no particulars of the agenda. However, the meeting comes as the U.S. presses for closer management of military and civilian efforts on both sides of the Pakistani-Afghan border. Ashfaque Kayani last visited NATO in November 2008, when he urged the alliance's military commanders to focus on winning the population's backing in those areas to prevent Taliban and Al-Qaida militants from using them as safe havens. Pakistan's army is busy in a major offensive in the Swat valley and adjacent districts. The action follows American pressure to root out militant hideouts along the permeable border.

I say that

NATO has more experience than the Pakistan army and NATO Commanders has also a fresh experience of recent war against terror in Iraq & Afghanistan the visit of Ashfaq Kiyani will definitely beneficial to him in view of war strategy.
