I Could Hardly Survive From The Disaster

It was a nice Monday morning everything looks fine and I have decided to attend and capture some of the nice moments in my digital cam of the cortege of A'ashoora, however after two consecutive bomb explosion (first on 7th Moharram ul Haram at Khilafat Chowk, Paposh Nagar and the second one on 9th Moharram ul Haram at Qasba Colony) it was looking hard that this religious ceremony would end peacefully, my mother also trying to stop me but I can not do so as because it's my routine since 1998 and I don't want to leave good habits right now.

Anyway I picked up my DG cam and reached to Nishter Park, Numaish Chowrangi to attend the cortege, when I crossed the Light House Signal walking through with the religious cortege of A'shoora a huge blast occurred at the back side of me and everyone was running here and there to save his life, I was hardly survive myself and stand under a tree to capture the moments but a crowed coming from opposite side hit me and I loose my balance my digital camera dropped from my hand and crushed badly, people run over me. When my eyes was open I found myself in Agha Khan Hospital, it was said that Taliban excepted the claim of explosion but I still don't understand why they are doing that? What they are want now? Is it an act of Muslim to attacked upon a religious cortege?

Lastly I want to pay special thanks to my uncle Mr. Arif Temuri (ex president of Gulbahar & Rizvia Ward of Pakistan Peoples Party) who provide a nice lap top to me upon my request so that I can write these lines as because I missed the important post about this day but I want to share these crucial moments of my life with the world however lately.

Pakistan Challenges Taliban to Show Mehsud

Rehman Malik asked Taliban to prove their claim that Baitullah Mehsud is still breathing because the government has "authentic information" that he was killed last week.

So the drama is not yet end, Government of Pakistan and USA combinely have the same statement that "Baitullah Mehsud is no more", while on the other hand Taliban spokesman is saying that he is still alive, wait for a moment and think for a while that if Taliban is saying that Mehsud is till alive then why they are choosing his successor? Is Mehsud's term has been end? Or Taliban is running upon electoral college to choose his next leader after expiration of previous leader's terms? If the answer of both question is yes then could Taliban bear a change of the leadership at the moment when it faces the most extremist action against them. Think in the light of these question you may got your answer.

Death of Mehsud Is Not Confirmed, ISPR

ISPR spokesperson Major General Athar Abbas confirmed on Friday that there is no confirmation of Baitullah Mehsud death. There is no big news like this one for Pakistan, but firstly this has to confirm that whether Mehsud is still alive or not because if Mehsud is trying to hide him or making himself off seen then it is the most dangerous aspect of Taliban war. Baitullah Mehsud will then rebuild his alliance and would create a big trouble in future for Pakistan, we could not forget the Osama Bin Laden's practice as he did during Afghan war and from then to now there is no clue of him and he is still a trouble for the world and especially for USA, if Baitullah Mehsud is practicing the same policy then Security Forces have to plan a fool proof strategy to tackle this situation otherwise it would be an out of control situation in future.

Government of Pakistan wants Baitullah Mehsud for his involvement in the assassination of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto in Dec 2007 and several other cases, USA had rewarded his head for 5 million US dollars.

Taliban Defeated

Yesterday, on the main road that leads to Swat I saw many people and vehicles preparing to leave. People were saying good bye and were thanking their Mardan hosts for their hospitality.

I've got a friend who works for the police, he is now in Mingora. I bumped into him by chance a few days ago. He had come here to Mardan seven days ago to see his family and went back to Mingora two days later. We talked at length.

He said that the security situation had improved. The army there said that the only way they can defeat the militants is with the support of the ordinary people. So there's a lot less fear and people feel much more confident.

As the man said that the only way they can defeat the militants is with the support of the ordinary people or alternatively we can said that residents of that area because as I already mentioned in my previous posts that the native persons well known each other and they can support army to fight or identify them (activists) well. Secondly lashkars organized and run by local tribal persons are also looking after the infected areas so there's a lot less fear and people feel much more confident to go back to there homes.

TTP Claims Its Swat Leadership Safe

The head of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Swat is secure and the government’s claims about Fazlullah being injured are baseless, TTP spokesman Maulvi Umar claimed on Saturday. He told reporters via telephone that Fazlullah was safe, adding the Taliban leadership had gone underground during the operation in Buner, Dir and Swat as part of their overall strategy. He said none of the organization’s top leaders had been killed by the military. Umar also warned lashkars to cease activity against the TTP, adding his organization was not behind the fighting in Bajaur. Hasbanullah Khan.

But you might forget the Day of Judgment, one day you have to give your sole to Almighty and then you will have nothing to say other then burning in the fire of hell, Insahallah.

Taliban Cash in on Pakistan’s Untapped Gem Wealth

In the narrow lanes of a market in Pakistan’s northwest capital Peshawar, dealers squat on carpets and spread out a rainbow of precious gems on the floor for potential buyers.

Chunks of bright blue lapis lazuli, and rough rocks studded with flashes of light and colour clutter window displays, but no one is buying in a city hit by a wave of deadly bombings blamed on Taliban militia.

A treasure trove of precious stones is locked in the rocks of Pakistan’s rugged northwest. Violence, legal tussles and state mismanagement have deterred investors but allowed the Taliban to cash in on the bounty, dealers say.

“God has given us enormous wealth in terms of emeralds from Swat, rubies, pink topaz, beautiful tourmaline,” said Ilyas Ali Shah, a gemologist with the government-run Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company.

Shah said that if Pakistan properly mines these deposits the impoverished country could reverse its hefty foreign debt: “But we need peace.”

This is not a new issue but it is true that the northern areas of Pakistan have the most expensive treasure of the world. Many doucmentries have told this hidden story so many time, and most of the time it was happened that research teams has been drilling either for coal or oil and their would be mines of emerald or topaz had been discovered from their but the sad side is this that no development or research work has been made by any Government of Pakistan to avail the benefit from this precious God gifted source.

Anyways lets come back towards the topic Taliban has this source as a secondary level they do not depend on it. The main or primary source of Taliban is only those neighboring countries of Pakistan who want to destablise the country and the name of these countries has told by the Qari Zainuddin and other anti Taliban persons supporting the Pakistani Government and Securtiy Forces. We have to view the picture in the light of actual scenario if Taliban are trading the gems then why they want to bring their on laws, the traders of gems are the persons or tribal men who live in the northwest or in other words resident of Pakistan and not the Taliban, they are feeded up by those states who don’t want to strengthen Pakistan.

Taliban Supplied With Guns & Cash from Afghanistan, Pakistan

Image from bloomberg.com

Pakistan says Taliban insurgents fighting security forces in the country’s northwest are supplied with guns, cash, transport and communications from Afghanistan. “Each Kalashnikov and every bullet is being provided to the Taliban from Afghanistan and the Pakistan government has raised this issue with the Afghan government,” Interior Minister Rehman Malik said yesterday, state media reported.

Pakistan rightly demand for “monitoring system” on two borders, as it is crystal clear after a recent raid of Pak Army on a group of activist who coming from Afghan border carrying with them rocket launchers and other weapon that supplies to Taliban is coming from none other then Afghanistan, as because there is no other source that could support the activist. Taliban supply-line or supply-chain is only through this side if you see the map of Pakistan below and pointed towards northwest area you may observe that the eastern side of northwest is the Pakistani Punjab situated while on the southern side is Baluchistan and the upper or northern side there is Gilgit & Kashmir and Afghanistan is on southern side all other sides including Baluchistan, Gilgit, Kashmir & Punjab are covered and monitored by the Pak Army the only side where Pak Army has a loose grip is the Afghan border because of Taliban insurgency and that is the only point where from Taliban is feeding up.

Assassination of Zainuddin Exposese Taliban Splits

A file photo of Qari Zainuddin
Image from paktribune.com

The assassination of the leader of a renegade Pakistani Taliban faction by one of his own men Tuesday underscores a growing rift in the ranks of the militant group as it braces for an impending army assault in the volatile northwest.

Qari Zainuddin's killing sets back government hopes of exploiting these internal divisions in the South Waziristan tribal region, where the army has been pounding strongholds of Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud in apparent preparation for a major, U.S.-backed offensive.

Zainuddin’s assassination is a major loss of Pak Army and it will delay the process of operation against Mehsud & other activists. However, when these operations has been started two months ago, there was no sign of aid or support of tribes in Pak Army’s plan and no strategy has been set by security forces to bring in confidence of these tribesmen. As because in Army’s opinion these tribes were also a strong hold of Taliban but when steps raised towards the fight stuffs becomes easier without any intervention and these tribes or tribesmen contacted with army at their own will and not a outcome of any plan or strategy.

So when tribesmen like Zainuddin step forward by himself then there would definitely be other tribesmen in the northwest who could provide the support to the army again and if not then Pak Army is in not depended on them because security forces has been fighting on there own plans and not on the support of tribes.

Maulana Alam, Izzat Khan Killed In Sakhakot Clashes, ISPR

ISPR said that the Deputy Ameer of Tahreek e Nifaz Shariat e Muhammadi (TNSM) and spokesman Ameer Izzat Khan have been killed in a exchange of fire between security forces and activists in Sakhakot,. One Army personnel has also been martyred and five injured in the fight.

It is quite better that their case should be executed in a civil court in front of general public/civilians rather then killing them in so called “clash” so that reasons and other facts of such a big aggression in the northwest would be exposed throughout the world and opinion would be gathered to cease the option for happening it again in the future.

Yesterday ISPR confirmed that they detained Molana Alam, Ameer Izzat and other leaders in Malakand Fort now they are saying that they have been killed in a clash this story is out of mind and required probing by the Government, the army is answerable of this incident to the public.

Pakistan Is Close To Defeat The Taliban In Swat

Pakistan is close to defeat the Taliban in Swat, but battlefield achievement only does not like success, activist leaders are still on the scamper, local governments and police forces have been demolished and millions of residents are dislocated from their residences.

I say that

Even if Pakistan achieves something in eradicating insurgents in one of its most powerful operations yet, the northwestern valley is just one of some activist strongholds in the U.S.-allied country. Earlier, fighting is blazing again in the partially-independent tribal areas adjoining Afghanistan, where al-Qaida and the Taliban are more established than they were in Swat.

The U.S. observes the Swat operation as an analysis of nuclear armed Pakistan's capability and to tackle insurgents in the northwest responsible for hits on American and NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Taliban Accept the Responsibility of Lahore Explosion

Photogrph from reuters

ISLAMABAD: Taliban claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing on Lahore building that killed approximately 24 people, a US specialist Islamic monitoring group said. An organization naming itself “Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)” constructed the claim in a Turkish-language statement posted on Turkish jihadist websites through an association named Elif Media. The Islamist watch SITE mentioned the group as declaring the attack aimed the ''nest of evil'' in Lahore, and was a ''humble gift'' to the mujahideen who bear under the attacks of Pakistani forces in Swat. It specified that a Toyota Hiace Van laden with 220 lbs of explosives was blown up external side of a rescue building in Lahore, the center of Punjab province in Pakistan, devastating the building and injuring several more. "TTP asks Muslims in Pakistan to stay away from areas where the enemy is ''taking advantage'' of them, so that they are not harmed by jihadi attacks," SITE included.

The explosion was the third deadly attack to rock the country's liberal cultural capital in as many months. Top defense officials informed media following evening that 24 people died, including 13 policemen, civilians and security officials. A higher examiner told media the hit was the expected handiwork of Al-Qaeda linked Taliban activists operating from Pakistan's wild Waziristan, which borders Afghanistan. One of the invaders was shot dead by security guards as he moves toward the building, and two others perished in the blast, the examiner said. Pakistan's armed forces has been locked in a month-long offensive against Taliban activists in the northwest, which the authorities say has killed about 1,200 extremists and sent 2.4 million people fleeing their homes.

I say that

In my May 27, 2009 post I said that “if it is (Lahore explosion) confirmed to be a suicide bombing then there would be no way to admit that Taliban is behind all this”, and now when TTP (Tehrik i Taliban Pakistan) accept the responsibility of Lahore blast then there will be no chance to say that war of northwest of Pakistan has now been extended towards the central or middle of Pakistan, everyone knows the Taliban & Al Qaida practice of suicide bombing and yesterday a shocking news of Somalia’s presidential palace (Somali activists fired mortars at the presidential palace in the capital for ensuring to topple the country's Western-backed government and install a strict Islamic state) I afraid to say that Somalia will be the next target of Al Qaida or Taliban and if my belief is not wrong then adequate and quick action must be taken by the Somalia Government to stop these kind of activities by the activists in the country or if it is late then Somalia will be faced the same conditions that Pakistan is now facing in these days.

Al Qaeda Establish Links with Jihadi Groups: Report

This report was published in Daily Dawn on May 13, 09 edition it stated that;

Al Qaeda is trying to establish links inside Pakistan with jihadi groups, rather than Taliban, to exploit the current instability in the Pakistan and also to relieve some of the pressure that has been put on them by continuing strikes by the US drones, says The Guardian correspondent Jason Burke in a report (Al Qaeda’s push into Pakistan) on Tuesday.

Quoting sources inside intelligence agencies but without naming them he said that the group led by several dozen senior militants from Central Asia had already set up links with Lashkar-i-Taiba and was now probing others like Jaish-i-Mohammad, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen Islami and Lashkar-i-Jhangvi.

For international militants, he said, Pakistan had a particular significance as the birthplace of the new wave of modern Islamic militancy in the 1980s during the war against the Soviets.

“The battle against Pakistan’s secular elected government – and thus indirectly against its western backers – is being cast as the continuation of the successful struggle against the Soviets,” he added.

I say that

In my opinion this is not a new story Al Qaeda's back links have always been with Pakistans' Jihadi Groups and this was already notified by Late Benazir Bhutto Shaheed several time publicly and in her book too written few days before her sad demise and also in her letters sended to various Heads of different countries but no one gave any reasonable response towards her notion.

Back to the topic if Al Qaeda would have established links with the said groups then it would have open a new task or might be a difficult one for Pakistan Army and Government of Pakistan as well, we will have to ready either for a new war/operation same like as continues in Sawat, Dir & in Bajur or it is quite possible that the current operation will merged in the new one (after Al Qaeda's influence) in both the case Pakistan will have to faced more difficulties in future i.e., finacial & economical.
